Also worried about drumming, I haven't practiced in a long time, sigh, feeling uncertain about my passion for drumming. Don't feel like drumming during book outs cos I just wanna relax. Don't want drums to be just another fling like all my other hobbies.

BMT ending soon, next week will be the last.
Made some friends and met some people who I would never associate myself with under any normal circumstances.
Overall, BMT was not exactly a good experience for me, plus it only marks the beginning of a long and wasted 22 months of my life.

Thurs: Fell out of IPPT, knee gave way during shuttle run and I fell, knee hurts like a bitch. Saw the MO, he thinks its patellar tendinitis, same as the specialist's diagnosis.

Friday: [RMJ+LL] again. Fuck.

Next week tuesday is IPPT retest, 16km route march on thurs, and SOC on friday.
My status only lasts till sunday.
WTF, there is no way my knee will be able to handle all that crap with so little recovery time. Next week is gonna be a repeat of this week all over again.

Had a chance to shoot a m16 yesterday, it looks better than the sar21, lighter too...

My right knee is giving me hell, and keeping it in the knee guard throughout field camp gave it very bad heat rash...
Almost halfway done with bmt, just have to make sure i don't injure my knee too badly and get oot and have to redo all this CRAP again.

Had steamboat, watched Sorority Row and went shopping today with GM.

National day celebrations on fri started out terribly, being coerced by the school to wear red and sing. Yet, I found myself enjoying the celebrations at the end, so it turned out to be a good day.

Today, I was at my aunt's house for a family gathering to celebrate National day, I'm not that patriotic, I just tagged along. Everything was normal, I kept to myself, humor my young cousins, had a nice chat with my cousin's wife, watched tv. The ride home however, totally spoiled my mood. Worst day ever.

Stop telling me how I should think or behave, and I've had enough of emotional blackmail, financial threats, and threats of eviction. You don't even know me at all.

Countless amounts of notebooks wasted in my attempts to extradite these unwanted memories onto paper.
Still, despite my efforts to consign these memories to oblivion, I feel that I am merely acting out of denial.
Nobody likes to be aware of the fact that they are self-destructive.

Introspection rules the majority of my free time.
I derive satisfaction from envisioning what my life would be like if I had the courage to do something in the past, wisdom to make the right choices back then and the luck to have avoided unfortunate events...
Next, I start feeling bitter as I reflect upon the true face of my reality.
Recently, I realised that all these "what if"s and bitterness have conspired to turn me into the complete opposite of the avatar which exists in my mind, the one which did not screw up and did not have the need for "what if"s.

I hate letting my mind run wild and create such bitterness, yet the escape from reality into my daydreams is possibly the only thing keeping me sane. Maybe except for friends, but I don't have many, I blame childhood ostrasization.
How I've fantasised about killing my primary school bullies in various ways, most of which involve morbid tortures, mental torment and copious amounts of bloodshed.
That'll teach them to make me anti-social...

Of course, by venting all this out here, I no longer feel the need to stop my destructive thoughts.
Flaw of character I guess. That or it's just human nature, we are seriously fucked up organisms...

Anyway...

Lol, new drumset is a TAMA. StageSt@r.
Apparently its out of production already, so I have a set of endangered drums!
And an ancient laptop -.-
Cymbals still exactly the same model as those on my old drumset, only 10 times shinier, but honestly they somehow managed to sound worse...
Guess stock cymbals have variations in tone too, I used to think cos its all cheap machine-made so all will sound equally bad..

Best of all, it sounds great and cost me only $(288Drums+60Cymbals+50Pedal= 398) in total.

Bought the drums from Alfe, he also loaned me the snare (Probably more ex then the whole kit). Damn nice of him lor, sell this price still throw in some hardware and loan snare.

So I have a week to look for a snare to call my own, meanwhile try not to damage this one in any way...

Means keeping pesky family members away from my drums, they all complain noisy then when they think that no one is looking, they act out their rockstar fantasies with the drums. (I noe, cos I spy at them when they are near the drums, extreme paranoia)

I finally did something I've always wanted to do... Learn all the Mario themes on the guitar!!!
Well not all...
But I got the tabs for all of them, just learnt the Intro theme, Underworld theme and Flag melody so far, thats like 60%?
Anyway, my tabs are kinda weird but still sound right, lol...
But hard for acoustic, cos of all the 15+ frets... Got to stretch like mad to reach fret 20...

Also learning a crapload of Jay Chou songs, cos i only listen to his songs as far as chinese songs are concerned... Dandelion's Promise is hard, too many parts, 5 freaking pages of minimal repetition... But it sounds so good...
Ju Hua Tai also, but I modified the barre chords to normal chords, I'm not cut out for barre chords, maybe on classical guitar but acoustic hurts like a bitch...

I bought 2 Copic and 1 Zig colour markers. Yes, i went all the way to Bugis to buy, just felt like it...
Wanted to buy a thinner black marker, but too poor liao.

Continuation of something i drew 2-3 posts ago...
Inking over pencil lines, boring, stressful and always turns out uglier, blegh... Hate how the nose turned out... Other than that, this inking turned out well...
Hate it when i ruin something by inking badly, like ink blobs or slip up and leave a streak of ink where it shouldn't be...

Lots of colouring later! Only the first 5 mins was fun cos was using the new colours...
Used some colour pencils too, some very stubby colour pencils... I think they are like 12 years old? Since Pri.1...
Tried blending the yellow with black by applying the black onto the yellow marker's tip, turned out so-so, but my yellow marker tip is disfigured liao :(

Add manga title logo thingy, just did that so i wouldn't have to draw in the rest of her clothes...
